Professional Career

Bill spent more than 30 years as a senior manager, engineer and consultant before joining EDN in 2001. His leadership experience in heavy industry is extensive and includes long-term appointments with BHP Steel, where he was involved in steel production and refractories, and management of timber panelling operations at CSR Timber Products.

Bill’s impressive work history includes stints as a technical specialist in steel processing, oversight of capital construction, leadership of large scale cost reduction and safety programs, and development of logistics, supply chain and planning areas.

Over the years Bill has served on a number of boards dealing with vocational education and training and labour hire. He has also worked on numerous drilling rigs and production plants around the world, including Pride Angola, Transocean Rather and Transocean Vicksburg.

Client experience includes: ExxonMobil, BHP Billiton, BP, ENSCO, Transocean and GreyWolf.
