Professional Career
More than 25 years in human resources, business management and industry consulting has left John well qualified as a specialist in organisational development. Acknowledged as an excellent personal coach, John has broad experience in strategic planning, workplace reform, performance management, leadership development and industrial relations.
He has consulted widely in Australia and overseas - he was previously EDN's regional manager in the Middle East - and has spent many years in a variety of human resources and general manager roles in the public and private sectors, including in local government and with a major power utility. During his career, John has overseen several large change-management projects involving step-change transitions and continuous improvement quality process techniques.
The outcomes often exceeded expectations with quantifiable improvements in service quality, staff morale and service unit cost. John's role not only included overall project direction, but also hands-on, detailed management of the many workplace interventions.
In more recent assignments John's coaching expertise across all aspects of managerial and leadership competency has been welcomed by leaders at all levels. He has worked with numerous EDN clients, including oil and gas companies, state government agencies, utilities and local government.
In addition to his many qualifications, John is licensed to present Kepnor Tregoe project management programs.
