Professional Career

Wayne is a firm believer in the ability of people to extend themselves professionally to drive change at the organisational level. He has been putting his beliefs into practice since joining EDN in 2004, helping to guide individuals and their organisations through change processes.

Accredited to deliver a range of leadership, team and organisational development tools, Wayne is extensively involved in professional improvement of management and leadership teams. This was a principal focus during his many years in various management roles in the New South Wales registered clubs industry when he became a member of the Board of Management Studies at Club Management Development Australia (1992-1994), and then its Chairman (1994-2004).

Wayne’s successes have been acknowledged at the highest level. His involvement in the Balmain Leagues Club in Sydney was recently the subject of published research by Professor Dexter Dunphy of the University of Technology, entitled In Great Company – Unlocking the Secrets of Cultural Transformation.

Among the strategies used by Wayne are the development of individual leadership skills, measurement and analysis of organisational culture, and implementation of systems and skills that support improved structures. All the processes are linked to improved business outcomes.

Since joining EDN, Wayne has been involved with leadership development and organisational change projects for various clients, including Woodside, Shell New Zealand, Origin Energy, Esso Australia, Global Santa Fe, KCA Deutag, Insolvency Trustees Service Australia (ITSA), Hans Smallgoods, M5 East Motorway, Energy Australia and several major registered clubs in NSW.

Wayne is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars.
